The Check ‘Em Off green holiday bazaar is at noon this Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Marshall Community Center on Mcloughlin Boulevard and Fort Vancouver Way just east of Uptown Village, Vancouver. The focus is on gifts that are local, handmade, reused or reusable. This one, I cannot miss.

On First Friday, Nov. 5, Divine Consign at 904 Main St. in downtown Vancouver, will host Divine Spree, a trunk show of unique holiday gifts benefitting Columbia Springs, Humane Society for Southwest Washington and the Fort Vancouver National Trust.

Santa will be on hand from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for photo opps, and wine, music and apps will be served from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (But, don’t mix Santa and alcohol…) Then, check out all the art galleries in the area for more personal gift ideas.

It’s brilliant.
