Kiggins getting restored

A group of volunteers and artists/interested people are helping restore the historic Kiggins Theater on Main Street in Vancouver.
Watch the blog for updates on the demo and restoration and also to find out when volunteer opportunities are coming up. AND, if you are so inclined, take the poll on the right hand side of the page, which will help shape the future of the beloved venue.

Pollack and Sons liquidating

Pollack and Sons Specialty Nursery is in the midst of liquidating its stock in order to go out of business. All inventory is 50 percent off. The sale will be held Mondays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. while supplies last. Visit them online or just go by the six-acre nursery at 7901 N.E. 179th St. in Battle Ground.
Sad, but amazing for fall planting.

Deschutes tasting at Fireside Cafe

The new Fireside Cafe has been keeping patrons busy with its weekly special events. Coming up this Wednesday, Sept. 8, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., is a brew tasting with a rep from Bend, Oregon’s, best known craft brewer, Deschutes Brewery.
